Day 1: Travel from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Depart Dar es Salaam in the morning for Mikumi National Park, with a picnic lunch stop en route. Upon arrival in the afternoon, experience the breathtaking sunset game viewing in the park, observing wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, lions, hartebeest, hippos, elands, and zebras. After the game drive, head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, embark on a full day of game viewing in Mikumi National Park. The park’s notable feature, the Mikumi flood plain, borders the mountain ranges. The calm elephants of Mikumi are known for their non-destructive behavior towards trees. Conclude the day with another game drive and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mikumi National Park and Udzungwa Mountain National Park

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and explore the varied vegetation of the park, including swamps, forests/woodland, and savanna. Keep an eye out for bird species, monitor lizards, and pythons around the pools. After lunch and relaxation at your lodge, check out and transfer to Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Arrive at the park after a one-hour journey, check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Udzungwa National Park and Transfer to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, embark on a hike through Udzungwa Mountain to reach the stunning Sanje Waterfalls. Take in the panoramic views of Kilombero Valley before returning to your lodge. Check out and transfer back to Dar es Salaam.
